How to play the daily pipe puzzle
- Pick a piece from your hand of three, and tap it again to turn it a quarter turn.
- Tap a highlighted tile to place it. Heat flows from the furnace through every pipe whose openings face each other.
- Warm every cabin before your pieces run out. A cabin warms when a heated pipe points into it.
- Plan ahead. The next three pieces are shown beside your hand, and the Hold slot keeps one piece for later: select a piece, then tap Hold.
Ice blocks melt once heat reaches the tile next to them, and rocks never move. A pipe you placed can be swapped for another one until heat reaches it. Undo and Restart are always free here.

A different puzzle every day
Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day, and a new one starts at midnight, your local time. Each puzzle is marked Relaxed, Classic, Tricky or Challenge, with one challenge each week. Boards are 6 by 6 or 7 by 7 tiles with ice and rocks, and the pieces include straights, corners, T-junctions and crosses.
Stars reward efficient routes: every piece you didn't need is a spare, and enough spares earn three stars. When you solve it, share your stars with friends and see who found the shortest route.
Daily puzzles in the Heat Lines app
The same daily puzzle waits in the Heat Lines app once you finish level 15. There, your first solve each day pays 20 Embers plus 5 per star for your snowy village, three days in a row adds 25 Coins, and seven days in a row adds 75 Coins and a free Lantern hint. The app also has 100 levels across 10 winter chapters, with lodges, old pipes and two furnaces, and it plays fully offline.

When does a new daily puzzle come out?
A new puzzle starts every day at midnight, your local time. The countdown under a solved puzzle shows how long until the next one.
Is it the same puzzle as in the app?
Yes. The website and the Heat Lines app show the same daily puzzle on the same day, and everyone gets the same one. In the app, daily wins also pay Embers and streak rewards for your village.

Stars reward efficient routes. Every piece you didn't need to place is a spare piece, and each puzzle sets how many spares earn three stars and how many earn two.
